INGREDIENTS:
1. CRACKED WHEAT - 1 1/2 CUPS
2. CARROT - 1
3. POTATO - 1
4. MOONG BEAN SPROUTS - 1/2 CUP
5. GREEN CHILLIES - 4
6. MUSTARD SEEDS - 1/4 TSP
7. CUMIN SEEDS - 1/2 TSP
8. SALT - ACC. TO YOUR TASTE
9. OIL - 3 TBSP
10. WATER - 3 CUPS
11. CURRY LEAVES - FEW
12. LEMON JUICE - 1 TSP
METHOD:
1. HEAT OIL IN A KADAI AND ADD MUSTARD SEEDS AND CUMIN SEEDS . AFTER THE MUSTARD SEEDS CRACKLE, ADD CURRY LEAVES AND GREEN CHILLIES .
2. CUT CARROT AND POTATO IN TO SMALL PIECES AND ADD THEM TO THE KADAI .
3. ADD THE SPROUTS NOW . STIR WELL .
4. ADD THE CRACKED WHEAT TO THE KADAI .
5. HEAT WATER IN A SEPARATE PAN .
6. ADD THE HOT WATER ALONG WITH THE SALT TO THE KADAI AND STIR IT WELL . LET IT COOK ON MEDIUM FLAME AND WITH A LID ON IT . AFTER THE UPMA IS READY, SPRINKLE LEMON JUICE AND MIX IT WELL . SERVE THE YUMMY UPMA WITH ANY PICKLE OF YOUR CHOICE .
