RAW BANANA OR PLANTAIN PODI

INGREDIENTS:
1. PLANTAIN - 1 (LARGE SIZED)
2. ONIONS - 1 NO. (FINELY CHOPPED)
3. RED CHILLIES - 5 NO.S
4. URAD DHAL - 1 TABLESPOON
5. CHANNA DHAL - 1 1/2 TABLESPOON
6. CORIANDER SEEDS - 1 TABLESPOON
7. TAMARIND - CHERRY SIZED
8. SALT - ACC. TO YOUR TASTE
9. SESAME OIL FOR FRYING

METHOD:
1. PEEL THE PLANTAIN AND CUT IT IN TO SMALL PIECES . HEAT 3 TABLESPOON OF OIL IN A KADAI . FRY THE PIECES IN THE OIL TILL IT TURNS TO GOLDEN BROWN .
2. TRANSFER THE FRIED PIECES OF BANANA IN TO A PLATE AND LET IT COOL DOWN .
3. HEAT 1/2 TEASPOON OIL IN THE SAME KADAI . ADD RED CHILLIES, CORIANDER SEEDS, URAD DHAL, CHANNA DHAL . FRY FOR 3 TO 4 MINUTES . SWITCH OFF THE STOVE NOW AND LET THE FRIED INGREDIENTS TO COOL DOWN . GRIND THEM WITH TAMARIND COARSELY IN A MIXER GRINDER .
4. ADD THE FRIED PIECES OF PLANTAIN AND SALT TO THE MIXER GRINDER AND GRIND THEM COARSELY .
5. HEAT 2 TABLEPOON OIL IN THE KADAI . ADD THE FINELY CHOPPED ONIONS AND FRY FOR COUPLE OF MINUTES .
6. ADD THE COARSELY GROUND  PODI TO THE KADAI AND MIX WELL . FRY FOR A MINUTE AND SWITCH OFF THE STOVE . PLANTAIN PODI IS READY . SERVE THIS PODI WITH WHITE RICE AND A LITTLE GHEE ON TOP .
