INGREDIENTS:
1. RICE - 1 CUP
2. GARLIC - 2 PODS
3. COARSE PEPPER POWDER - 3/4 TEASPOON
4. URAD DHAL - 1/2 TEASPOON
5. CHANNA DHAL - 1/2 TEASPOON
6. CASHEWNUT POWDER - 2 TEASPOON
8. GHEE - 3 TEASPOON
9. ASAFOETIDA - 1/8 TEASPOON
10. SALT - ACCORDING TO YOUR TASTE
11. WATER - 2 1/2 CUPS
METHOD:
1. PRESSURE COOK THE RICE WITH 2 1/2 CUPS OF WATER . LET THE RICE COOL DOWN .
2. PEEL THE GARLIC PODS AND CUT THE GARLIC CLOVES IN TO BIG PIECES .
3. HEAT GHEE IN A KADAI . ADD URAD DHAL AND CHANNA DHAL .
4. AFTER THE DHALS TURN IN TO GOLDEN BROWN COLOUR , ADD THE GARLIC AND CLOSE THE KADAI WITH A LID . TURN THE FLAME TO MEDIUM NOW TO AVOID BURNING OF THE GARLIC .WAIT FOR 4 MINUTES OR TILL THE GARLIC IS COOKED .
5. NOW ADD THE COARSELY GROUND PEPPER, CASHEW POWDER AND ASAFOETIDA . STIR IT FOR A MINUTE .
6. THE LAST STEP IS TO ADD THE COOKED RICE AND SALT . STIR IT AND THE YUMMY GARLIC PEPPER RICE IS READY . THIS RICE IS SO TASTY AND IT IS VERY GOOD FOR OUR HEALTH . I TRY TO PREPARE THIS RICE WHEN EVER SOME ONE IN MY FAMILY HAS A COLD . IT HELPS .
