RICOTTA CHEESE HALWA IS A VERY TASTY DESERT . I USED A PART SKIM RICOTTA CHEESE INSTEAD OF INDIAN KHOWA TO MAKE IT A LESS FAT RECIPE . I LIKE TO ADD NUTS TO IT TO MAKE IT A HEALTHY DESERT . EATING NUTS IN SMALL QUANTITIES IS VERY GOOD FOR HEART . TRY TO ADD NUTS IN WHAT EVER DISH YOU LIKE . THEY GIVE EXTRA TASTE AND ARE GOOD FOR HEALTH .
INGREDIENTS:
1. RICOTTA CHEESE - 450 GMS
2. MILK - 1/2 CUP
3. SUGAR - 3/4 TO 1 CUP
4. WHOLE CASHEW NUTS - 1/2 CUP
5. SLICED ALMONDS - 1/2 CUP
6. GHEE - 2 TBSP
METHOD:
1. TAKE A HEAVY BOTTOMED PAN OR A NON STICK PAN . ADD RICOTTA CHEESE, MILK AND SUGAR TO IT . STIR WELL AND COOK IT 10 MINUTES .
2. GRIND THE CASHEW NUTS IN TO POWDER AND ADD THE POWDER TO THE PAN .
3. ADD SLICED ALMONDS AND GHEE AND STIR WELL FOR ANOTHER 10 TO 15 MINUTES TILL IT GETS HALWA CONSISTENCY . SERVE THE HALWA AS IT IS OR MAKE PATTY LIKE SHAPE AND SERVE .
